Richard "Dick" C. Saunders
Dick Saunders founded Saunders Construction, Inc. in 1972 and currently serves as its Chairman Emeritus. Dick provides guidance to the board of directors and remains up-to-date in all aspects of the company's significant activities. Dick also lends much of his time to help serve and better the communities in which we live and work. He serves on numerous boards focusing on children, education, and mental health and is a long-time supporter of various organizations and civic functions, such as the Associated General Contractors of America, Mental Health America of Colorado, Colorado Ballet, Colorado UPLIFT, Kempe Children's Foundation, and many more.

Gregory A. Schmidt, P.E., LEED AP
As President and CEO, Greg has responsibility and authority for all company activities and decisions. Greg’s primary focus consists of assessing and ensuring that Saunders‘ commitment to quality, safety and service are achieved. He meets with customers, design team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders at various stages of project development to determine the effectiveness of performance and to direct our resources, as necessary, to meet commitments and maintain our promise to Build Confidence.
Greg joined Saunders in 1994 and is a licensed Professional Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional. He is involved in numerous organizations including: Executive Committee Member, University of Colorado Real Estate Council; Executive Committee Member, Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation; Trustee, Boy Scouts of America Denver Area Council; Young Presidents’ Organization– International & Rocky Mountain Chapter; Advisory Board Member, Alliance for Choice in Education (ACE); and Board Member, Colorado Concern.
Chief Financial Officer
David E. Alberts
Dave Alberts has been in the commercial construction industry for over 35 years and became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Saunders in 2006. As a senior member of Saunders’ management team, Dave directs the strategic planning of the organization from the financial perspective by developing financial models, interpreting financial data, and implementing initiatives that support the advancement of the Saunders Vision and Mission. He is the overall manager of Saunders’ finance & accounting, compliance, and information technology departments and acts as Saunders’ corporate Secretary. Dave is a graduate of Mesa State College, and serves as a Trustee of the Contractors Health Trust.
